Hapkido (“the Way of Integrated Energy”) is a mixed martial art developed in Korea designed to emphasize self defense.  Techniques have been combined from various combat arts to form a truly comprehensive system designed to effectively protect yourself in various scenarios.  Students will learn how to blend elements from Karate, Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, Boxing and Jiu-Jitsu.  A Hapkido practitioner learns how to use techniques from these various martial arts to defend and counter against various strikes, kicks, grabs, grappling situations and threats from weapons.  

In addition to effective self defense techniques, classes provide a great workout that is challenging, fun and accessible to participants of all levels.  Our instructors put an emphasis on safety and inclusiveness so that all students, regardless of experience or ability, can participate and gain the benefits of training.
